Refund Policy

This policy explains cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling for D&L Project56 custom travel packages. We aim to be fair and transparent, while covering real preparation and supplier costs.

1) Why refunds are different for packages

We are not a hotel. We build and coordinate custom packages that may include transfers, reservations, itinerary work, supplier coordination, and operational preparation. Some costs are incurred before arrival.

Service & Preparation Fee (Non-Refundable):
A portion of each booking may be non-refundable to cover preparation and coordination work and any supplier commitments. This fee is applied fairly and communicated clearly.

2) How to cancel

Cancellations must be requested in writing by email to bookings@dlproject56.com. The cancellation time is the time we receive your email.

3) Cancellation windows & refunds

Grace Period (within 24 hours after booking)
Full refund of amounts paid, unless supplier costs have already been charged and are non-refundable.
30+ days before check-in (Early Booking)
Refund available minus 10% service & preparation fee and any non-refundable supplier costs.
14–29 days before check-in
Refund available minus 15% service & preparation fee and any non-refundable supplier costs.
7–13 days before check-in
Refund available minus 25% service & preparation fee and any non-refundable supplier costs.
0–6 days before check-in / No-show
No refund by default due to last-minute supplier commitments and operational costs. Where possible, we may offer date change or booking credit, or pass through any supplier refund received.

4) Flexible bookings

Some packages may offer a Flexible option at a higher price. Flexible bookings include improved cancellation terms. If a Flexible option applies, it will be clearly stated on your confirmation.

5) Supplier rules

Hotels, drivers, guides, venues, and ticket providers may apply their own cancellation rules. If a supplier does not refund a charge, we cannot refund that supplier portion. We will always provide clarity and support in communication.

6) Refund method & timing

  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible.
  • Typical processing time: 5–15 business days, plus bank/card processing time.
  • Bank fees and FX fees (if any) may be charged by payment providers and are outside our control.

7) Compassionate situations

In serious circumstances (medical emergencies, major travel disruptions), we will review the case fairly. We cannot guarantee refunds beyond what suppliers allow, but we will aim to find the most reasonable solution (date change, credit, or supplier pass-through refund where possible).
